Semper Fi Medallion

Rigorous training, unmatched in its precision and intensity, and the yearning for victory produce the dauntless, consummate warrior that is stronger than fear…a warrior that is a U.S. Marine. And this challenge coin is as expertly created as the Marine who carries it.

Since its founding in 1775, the U.S. Marine Corps has struck awe and dread into those who dare to challenge America’s sovereignty. In the face of unfathomable conditions and seemingly hopeless situations, Marines forge through - always faithful - with unparalleled courage and physical and mental prowess to triumph over our enemies. This reputation for steadfast bravery and extreme skill sustains the U.S. Marines as America’s fiercest and most prized warriors.

Minted in the U.S. from special deep-relief coining dies, struck from solid bronze, and hand-finished with an antique patina for exceptional quality and detail, this challenge coin is dedicated to the intrepid soldiers of the U.S. Marine Corps. The obverse displays the renowned eagle, globe, and anchor of the Marine Corps’ emblem. The reverse exhibits the Corps’ motto, “Semper Fi” – “Always Faithful,” and the axiom of Marine brotherhood, “Once a Marine, Always a Marine.” This coin in hand declares you are one of the always faithful.

Measures 1 3/4 inch (44mm) Round. From Northwest Territorial Mint.
